St Matthew’s has a strong choral tradition. The church choir is made up of around 15 non-auditioned volunteer members who sing for the love of the music and the spirit of companionship fostered by this wonderful group.
The choir is led by organist and choir master Richard Thomas. Our repertoire spans five centuries and includes anthems and motets by such great composers as Palestrina, Monteverdi, Victoria, Purcell, Mozart, Wesley, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Mawby and MacMillan.
Choirslist is organized into regional sites across the UK. We’ve launched in London in 2024, and will open up other cities and regions to match local demand.
