On That Note

On That Note is an ambitious, award-winning a cappella ensemble from north London. Marshalled into shape each week by musical director, tenor and producer Jacob Ewens, we are self-conducting in performance, focusing on delivering precision, timing and breathing as one. Our repertoire spans seven centuries – with a focus on jazz – and our setlist is peppered with original arrangements from several ensemble members. Our members have studied music at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, University of Cambridge, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, with some also performing as solo artists in venues around London. We all have an unwavering commitment to ever-higher standards of musicianship, demonstrated through frequent intensive rehearsal days and our annual summer retreat in France.
