South London Voices is a women’s choir based in Bermondsey, South London.
The choir, formerly known as Bermondsey Voices, was founded by classical singer Kristina Nilsson in May 2012 and has performed at The Lord Mayor's Show, The Young Vic, St John's Waterloo, Bermondsey Carnival, Bermondsey Street Festival, and the Southbank Centre. The choir also hosts an annual candlelit Christmas concert in St James Church, Bermondsey.
The choir was founded to promote singing in the community and for women to find their voices. The choir has a fun and varied repertoire - there is something for everyone—rock, pop, opera, folk, blues, classical.
Choirslist is organized into regional sites across the UK. We’ve launched in London in 2024, and will open up other cities and regions to match local demand.
