Harrow Choral Society traces its roots back to 1937 and the formation of a choir in St Albans Church, North Harrow. Almost 90 years on, the choir continues to flourish and is proud to be one of the leading choral societies in North West London. Current membership is around 80 and we give 4 concerts a year usually in local venues, including Harrow School Speech Room. Our repertoire encompasses the whole spectrum of choral music and the programme for a typical season will include at least one major choral work as well as shorter pieces of both sacred and secular music. We always engage professional soloists and instrumentalists for our performances. Our weekly rehearsals with our MD, Sam Evans, and our accompanist, Paul Ayres, are lively and very rewarding. We laugh a lot and learn a lot! Our aim is to perform at the highest standard and our mission is to communicate our love of choral singing to audiences both in Harrow and further afield. Prospective members are very welcome to try us out on any Monday evening.
