Blackheath Choir is a mixed SATB/SSAATTBB chorus of approximately 70 voices. We aim for high vocal standards, whilst maintaining a friendly social atmosphere. Alongside established choral favourites, we explore lesser known works, contemporary composers and even premiere new commissions. We collaborate with established ensembles and soloists, though there are often opportunities for members to sing smaller solos. We value the opportunity to work with and learn from high calibre vocal soloists and instrumentalists. As well as 3 main concerts per year, we take part in workshops and competitions, charity fundraising, and social events. We have participated in Blackheath celebrations for the Olympics and Platinum Jubilee, and have sung national anthems for the Rugby World Cup at the Olympic Stadium. We welcome new voices, so do take a look at the information on how to join, and come and say hello!
