Formed in 1946 as a section of the Hornchurch, Romford and Upminster Music and Arts Society, the choir became the Havering Singers in 1965 when the new London Borough of Havering was formed. The choir has grown to about 80 voices and regularly performs in venues around Havering. The choir gives four major concerts during each season (which runs from September to July) – two choral concerts with orchestra and soloists, a concert of Christmas music, and a Summer concert of lighter, more contemporary music. Havering Singers is open to all who enjoy singing, whatever their musical experience. We welcome new members across all sections and we offer a warm welcome. If you are looking for a friendly choir and the opportunity to make music, please come and do so with us!
Choirslist London lists choirs across its 33 boroughs.
