Committed, keen, youthful choir made up of singers who love the great works of Anglican choral music. Very open and friendly. Includes people who have been choral scholars at Oxbridge etc. Includes young people new to London, and is mostly made up of people of working age.
St Peter's Vauxhall is an Anglican church next to Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, where Handel and J. C. Bach once played. The beautiful Victorian church has superb acoustics and an amazing T. C. Lewis organ. The choir currently sings once a month, performing ambitious repertoire (recently we have done Parry 'I was Glad', Brahms 'How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings, Howells 'Gloucester Service', Fauré 'Cantique de Jean Racine', Bainton 'I Saw a New Heaven' etc. We are looking for new members.
