Being a member of East London Chorus(ELC) means being part of a committed, lively and very friendly group of singers. You can be sure of a warm welcome. We come from all walks of life, range in age from our 20s to our 80s and have a variety of singing experiences. Most of us live or work in the local area, but some travel from further afield in London and beyond. Whatever our background, we all share one thing - a passion for singing. Together we work towards performances of high quality, each member taking responsibility for their contribution to the ELC ensemble. We are lucky to have the charismatic leadership and musical expertise of Jessica Norton (Music Director) and George Ireland (Accompanist) to inspire us. We are looking for singers who can read music and have some experience of singing in a choir. If you can also sight-read music too that is a real bonus. You can expect engaging and energetic rehearsals where you develop your voice and improve your singing technique whilst enjoying just making music with others.
