The Singing Room choir has been running since 2006. Based in Walthamstow Village E17, we are a community choir, open to all with no audition. Our aims are to offer a welcoming friendly, fun and non-competitive environment, to build confidence in singing with others and develop vocal and performance skills. We meet on Thursday evenings 7.30-9.30. A typical rehearsal will include a physical warm up, warm up songs and songs we are currently working on. We also include a short catch up/chat time. We sing pop, folk and world songs. Members learn the songs in rehearsal and have tracks for individual parts to practice at home. We perform up to 5 times a year. The first session is free so why not come along and give it a try. It doesn't matter whether you have sung in a choir before or not sung since school!
