The Forest School Choral Society is a welcoming and ambitious choir for singers who want to experience the joy of making music together at a high standard. Since reforming after the Covid pandemic, the choir has quickly re-established itself with a series of memorable concerts, including Handel’s Messiah, Fauré’s Requiem, and Britten’s St Nicolas. Performances have taken place both in the School’s atmospheric Chapel and at prestigious venues such as St John’s, Smith Square. One of the unique features of the Choral Society is its close connection with Forest School’s rich musical life. The choir regularly collaborates with the Chapel Choir and other School ensembles, joining forces in services and concerts that bring together different generations of singers. This creates a dynamic and inspiring musical community where members can share in the excitement of large-scale performances while also enjoying the camaraderie of a friendly choir. Membership is entirely free of charge, making the choir open and accessible to all who love to sing. Rehearsals also include a convivial break with complimentary wine and other refreshments, offering singers the chance to relax and connect socially as well as musically. If you are looking for uplifting music-making, new friendships, and inspiring performances, we warmly invite you to come and sing with us.
