The Kender Singers are a small and friendly group of enthusiastic singers who come together in term time to sing a wide range of traditional and modern songs and rounds from all over. No need to read music, we learn everything by ear. Just bring your enthusiasm, commitment and a good sense of humour. We will do the rest! Free taster sessions - come along and try us for size!
The Kender Singers were originally formed by Lewisham Council to celebrate the borough's 2012 Cultural Olympiad. 15 years on, the small, friendly group continues to meet on termtime Tuesdays to sing two and three part songs in different style from all over the world and join with other choirs to perform concerts two or three times a year. There are no auditions and no one needs to read music - enthusiasm, humour and commitment highly valued. Free taster sessions offered, so come and try us out.
