The Kilburn Children's Choir is a growing choir for 6-12 year olds which provides an opportunity to learn to read music through a classical choral repertoire of sacred and secular music. The choir rehearses weekly and performs monthly at St Mary with All Souls church Kilburn, but is open to all and performs in other community events as well. Learners may be complete beginners, but will quickly learn new songs through reading sheet music, and will have the opportunity to progress in formal musical curricula (such as ABRSM) through the choir, but the emphasis is on a fun and friendly environment for children who love to sing. A nominal £1 contribution is requested per session, and successful graduates from the children's choir can progress to choral scholarships in St Mary's weekly eucharistic choir.
The Kilburn Children's Choir is an inclusive community-focused choir which provides an opportunity for children 6-12 years old to engage with classical choral repertoire in a fun and friendly environment, with regular opportunities to perform in community and church contexts.
