We are an a cappella women's chorus (choir) that mostly sings in four part harmony, in the barbershop style. A couple of our repertoire songs are exceptions to this, but by barbershop style we mean the melody is in an "inner voice" with harmonies both above and below. We call the voiceparts by the barbershop Tenor/Lead/Baritone/Bass, which can be confusing since we are women! The ranges for these are roughly "Light" Soprano/Mezzo, Alto1, Alto2 and Contralto, respectively. We sing a variety of repertoire, performing locally and in central London when engaged to sing, and we also enter choir competitions, including at the annual convention of our national barbershop association, LABBS. We aim to have serious fun, as it is a challenging style to sing, although the rewards are worth it, if you have the ability and confidence to perform visually as well as through your vocals. Perhaps you want to try something a bit different. We are also a friendly bunch, with a wide age range, and it is a great group of women to be a part of. If you have questions before you come to visit, please contact us on the email below, or keep an eye out on our website calendar for any "open evenings" that you may want to attend - however feel free to drop in on any Wednesday! Please let us know you are coming!
An auditioned chorus singing 4 part harmony in the barbershop style, for upper voices. Based in the Harrow/Pinner area of West London, the 30+ member chorus rehearses weekly, and sometimes at weekends when approaching large events. We compete at a high level, and aim to have "serious fun" honing our craft!
