If you are looking for a fun, welcoming choir that sings music that speaks to you, look no further! We sing great songs from across genres, usually in 3 to 5 part harmony. No experience is necessary - all our songs are taught in rehearsal. Newcomers are welcome to try out the choir for free to see what it’s like. We might be learning a Rolling Stones song in the style of a madrigal one week, and a sea shanty the next. Our members are all friendly and welcoming and will soon make you feel part of the group if you come along. We are led by a professional singer and voice teacher (so you will probably pick up quite a few singing tips) and we have an amazing former west end pianist on the keyboard who also sometimes conducts us. Sheet music and learning resources are available on our website, where you can also read more about us. If you can’t attend in person and wish to join by zoom, you can also do that.
Founded by professional singer, Victoria Simmonds, our mission is to enjoy singing - whatever our experience, and whatever the genre of music. Rehearsals are fun and friendly and there are opportunities to perform locally a couple of times a year. We sing popular music from any genre - pop, rock, folk, soul, classical, jazz - as long as it’s a great tune we will have a go. There is no need to be able to read music as everything is taught by ear and learning resources are provided through our website. No auditions - everyone is welcome whatever age or voice type you are.
