If you're looking to join an ambitious, accomplished chamber choir which performs to high standards in packed houses, then CML might be the place for you! We rehearse every Wednesday at the elegant, Christopher Wren-designed church of St James Garlickhythe, near Cannon Street. Rehearsals run from 7pm to around 9.45pm and are rounded off with a few drinks in a nearby pub. CML prides itself on the diversity of its membership, the variety of its repertoire and its ability to attract large audiences. New members are always welcome, so if you can read music and want to sing with a dynamic and varied group, get in touch to arrange a very straightforward audition.
Collegium Musicum of London Chamber Choir was formed in 1972 by László Heltay. He built an excellent reputation for the choir both in Britain and abroad, was its director until 1989, and remained its president until his death in 2019. With a regular pool of around 30 singers, the choir has a broad repertoire, having performed masses by every major composer as well as early and contemporary works. The choir performs unaccompanied choral works and collaborates with some of the country's leading professional instrumentalists and soloists.
Choirslist London lists choirs across its 33 boroughs.
