What makes us special? • Varied Membership - yes, the legal sector has a strong presence, but we've also plenty of members who are students or from publishing, antiques, charities, economics, HR, accountancy, higher education, banking, finance, health service, civil service and the church. We really thrive on the diversity of our membership. • No Auditions Required - although most members have some previous singing experience, sight-reading is not a prerequisite, particularly as more challenging sections of music will be focussed on at rehearsals. • Friendly and Inclusive Culture - we foster a warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and comfortable. Many long-standing friendships have been made through choir membership • Regular Performances - we perform a minimum of three concerts annually, usually at central London venues. We're usually accompanied by the London Lawyers' Symphony Orchestra (our sister organisation) for most concerts. • Overseas Concerts - on alternating years, we arrange a joint concert with a similar organisation based in Paris (L'Orchestre du Palais), performing one concert in each city. • Social Activities - beyond rehearsals, we also organize regular social events (carol singing, theatre trips, weekend vocal workshops, karaoke, etc), allowing you to connect with fellow choir members outside of weekly rehearsals.
London Lawyers’ Chorus sings a variety of classical and more recent repertoire. We are an ambitious, non-audition choir, able to perform choral works ranging from a capella miniatures to some of the largest choral works written, accompanied by the London Lawyers’ Symphony Orchestra.
