Winners of the 2021 South London Community Choir Festival, Tongue & Groove are an amateur choir that teams a professional Musical Director from theatre with talented and dedicated amateur performers. They are all about engaging with the audience and putting on a good show. Established in 2017, Tongue & Groove has quickly gained a reputation for their spirited renditions of classic pop and rock songs, infused with contemporary Musical Theatre anthems. Their repertoire is a vibrant fusion of hits from legendary artists such as Abba, Stephen Sondheim, Radiohead, and Annie Lennox. The choir was set up by Caroline Smith and Robin Thompson who wanted to bring together like-minded souls to sing, move, and most of all perform. Tongue & Groove combines the best of community choirs, with a focus on movement and performance.
