The Fourth Choir is London's LGBTQ + chamber choir for advanced singers. We focus on performing great choral works from early music to contemporary choral masterpieces. The choir was formed in September 2013, and our aim from the outset has been to represent the LGBT + community on London's world-class classical music scene. We have performed in all of London's major concert halls (Royal Albert Hall, Barbican, South Bank Centre, Wigmore Hall, Kings place) and this year look forward to performing in our first BBC Proms concert. We regularly commission new works and this year crowdfunded a professionally recorded full-length album of music composed by underrepresented groups. As well as talented singers, we are looking for members who: are proud to be in a choir of LGBT+ singers and allies; are passionate about musical excellence, about improving our skills and having fun; nurture an inclusive space and celebrate diversity; are creative, collaborative and ambitious and are keen to create a supportive, big-hearted and welcoming community.
