South Dulwich Chorus is an exciting new ensemble based at St Stephen’s, bringing together singers for inspiring, project-based performances of major choral works. Our model is simple: excellent music-making; minimal rehearsal demands. There are no auditions. We welcome singers from all walks of like who either know the repertoire or are willing to prepare independently. For each project, two optional rehearsals will be arranged in the weeks leading up to the concert, followed by an afternoon rehearsal on the day. Our inaugural concert on Saturday 11 October 2025 will be Handel’s Messiah, featuring professional soloists and instrumentalists. The performance begins at 6 pm, with a rehearsal that afternoon from 2 pm to 4 pm. Becoming a Founder Member is your chance to be part of something new, creative and sociable, and to sing great music with like-minded people in a beautiful setting.
