We are a fun, community, fundraising, no audition choir. The choir was formed in 2016 to raise money for Cancer Research at the Francis Crick Institute in Kings Cross, www.crick.ac.uk for research into 200 different cancers. To date we have donated £280,000. You don't need any previous experience to join the choir, but we do ask you to do some homework between rehearsals. We love having fun but we also take our singing seriously. That does not mean you have to have a great voice! The beauty of singing in a choir is that the sound is a beautiful collective of all sorts of voices. Have a listen to our video if you don't believe this. Almost every singing member told us they couldn't sing. The first taster is free, and full membership is £30.00 per month. We provide you with lyrics and recorded harmonies, so there is no need to read music. We learn by ear, just like you used to when you listened to the radio as a child. Come and try us out? You have nothing to lose, and so much to gain.
We are a community, no audition, fundraising choir. Everything we raise we donate to Cancer Research UK at the Francis Crick Institute, www.crick.ac.uk in Kings Cross for research into all cancers. We are an SATB choir, and although we take our singing seriously, we do this with a lot of laughter! There is a monthly fee of £30.00 for membership. Our arrangements are bespoke, in many cases, and we sing anything from rock to pop to gospel. Anything that makes you heart beat that little bit faster. You don't need any previous experience, but we do appreciate it if our members do a little homework between sessions. We provide recorded mp3's of all harmony parts to full members so that you can sing to your hearts content. We love to perform, but if that's not your thing, that's absolutely fine. If you just want to sing for fun, and to make new friends, that's great too. The Big Choir London was established in 2016 and to date we have donated £278k. We'r looking for funloving, positive members who are looking to add something joyous to their weekly routines. The benefits are too many to mention.
Choirslist London lists choirs across its 33 boroughs.
